As they prepare the house for its sale, clearing decades of family clutter, they have started to work on a site-specific performance piece about their complex relationship with their mother and her serial infidelities.

Scrooge is visited by three spirits, representing his past, present and future, and, after seeing what they have to show him, must make a determination of how he will continue to live his life.
