Ilya works as a trauma surgeon in a hospital. In the transition, he saves the life of a man who is trying to get compensation from a surgeon for broken ribs. This is the lesser of the doctor’s troubles. Saving the life of one of the patients, Ilya has to marry the girl while she is sleeping. With good intentions, the protagonist hides the official’s son in the hospital to knock out the latest equipment, but when the fraud is revealed, Ilya is kicked out and deprived of his license. In the maelstrom of events, Ilya does not lose his humor and self-confidence and challenges all troubles in spite of his enemies.

The boy has grown into a lyric poet but, nevertheless, follows the father’s footsteps and works at the meat-processing plant. A reflection on happiness gets him into a dead end, from which, apparently, there is no way out. But here in his life enters the accountant Liubov, or Love, and there comes the time of the wedding…

This story takes place in Moscow during 2006. The film is about new generation of kids, called Indigo, who have more mental and spiritual abilities than others. A company of such kids gather together in hidden places. Each of them can do unbelievable things, such as : reading other people thoughts, communicating with animals, breaking computer codes. They are different from ordinary people and they are happy with each other. But some adults want to use their talents for old-time perverted purposes...

The movie is about an old disabled lady who lives with her spinster daughter. The lady desperately wants her daughter to marry, and the daughter, driven by the supposed imminent death of her mother, invites a total stranger home and introduces him as her boyfriend. The man and the prospective mother-in-law eventually start to like each other, and he makes every effort to be liked by the daughter. With the intervention of a fantasy granddaughter, quasi-miraculous healing, and a lot of hilarious repartee in between, the movie has a happy ending.

Southern outskirts of the former Russian Empire. War has just finished. Ivan and his wife Katya live in a house on the outskirts of their village surrounded by windy steppe. In search of an occupation Ivan leaves his wife and sets off on a journey into the deserted landscape. Having come back home, Ivan finds his wife dead. Realizing his loss, he can no longer see any point in living and finds a way out in setting off to join a new war, where he’ll find answers, meet his death and rejoin his beloved wife.
