Dear Dad es una historia agridulce de la mayoría de edad; involucrando a un dúo de padre e hijo: Shivam, de 14 años, y su padre de 45 años, Nitin Swaminathan. El dúo padre-hijo se embarca en un viaje improvisado desde su casa, en Delhi, a Mussorie (Uttarakhand), donde Shivam asiste al internado.
