La trama gira en torno a Jeff Tuche, quien se siente emocionado por la llegada del TGV (tren de alta velocidad) a su pueblo, Bouzolles. Sin embargo, el tren pasa de largo sin detenerse en su localidad. Desilusionado, Jeff decide tomar medidas y contactar al Presidente de la República para evitar que su pueblo quede aislado.
