Marina (Ariane Labed), una chica de 23 años, vive con su padre, un arquitecto, en una pequeña ciudad industrial experimental en la costa. Marina se siente extraña y repele todo contacto con la especie humana, con la que no se identifica. Se entretiene escuchando canciones, viendo los documentales de David Attenborough, y asistiendo a las clases de educación sexual de su única amiga, Bella (Evangelia Randou).
