From its origins to its recent resurgence in popularity, We Like It Like That tells the story of a sound that redefined a generation and was too funky to keep down.

El 26 de agosto 1971 la ciudad de New York dio a luz un sonido que cambiaría la música latina para siempre. Esa noche en el reconocido club nocturno Cheetah, la Fania All Stars subió al escenario con su sonido único que hizo eco a través de todas las fronteras y llegó a todos los países. Fania Records reedita en DVD “Our Latin Thing”, la película que desencadenó el movimiento salsero de los años setenta. Del concierto salió un doble LP titulado “Live At The Cheetah” y la histórica película “Our Latin Thing”. Su director, Leon Gast, documentó lo acontecido en Cheetah con el añadido de imágenes de los músicos en el estudio de grabación y escenas del Spanish Harlem neoyorquino. La edición del 40 aniversario de “Our Latin Thing” incluye un DVD con la película remasterizada, y dos CDs con la música de la película y algunos temas adicionales, que pueden ser adquiridos en la página oficial del sello.
