Three decades after their separation, Irina and Nana remain mesmerized by memories of earlier days. But when Irina returns to the small community she left — where Nana stayed to start a traditional family — the women must reconcile with the past and their complex feelings.

37-year-old Irina, a doctor who returns home after serving a long sentence in prison. In order to start a new life and return to the society, Irina has to earn the trust of the people close to her. But does she need a place in such a society?

A patient dies in a small remote hospital under questionable circumstances. The police arrive at the scene to start the investigation. They look for night duty doctor Nino for an interrogation since she was in charge of supervising the deceased woman. The investigation makes it clear that the death of the patient may not be an accident, but the police have no sufficient evidence to prove the murder.
