In 2088, when the Earth is heavily polluted and the atmosphere is becoming unbreathable, title starship is launched to investigate whether a planet in a solar system some eighteen light years from Earth would be suitable as a new home for the human race, which would migrate there en mass, a process that would take several decades, as forty years would be required to build the fleet of starships needed. This planet, called Demeter (the Greek goddess of corn, grain and the harvest) was discovered by an earlier mission which took some fuzzy video footage and sent it back to Earth before vanishing without trace. As the round trip would take twenty-five years at near-light speed, many of the crew members that have been selected are teens and young adults. In many ways their voyage is a leap into the unknown as their mission is plagued by a host of problems shortly after they leave Earth behind.

A successful art dealer is sought out by law enforcement after terrorists take some scientists hostage. Finding no possible solution, a law enforcement agent approaches the dealer (Beck). Mr. Cosmo, the agent believes the dealer to be linked to the ninja responsible for tracking down criminals and serving them justice. Mr. Cosmo hopes that the ninja's seemingly supernatural skills will remedy this impossible hostage situation.
Story
Nada más terminar la I Guerra Mundial, el estafador y as del motociclismo Charlie Swattle (DAVID CARRADINE) intenta conseguir el dinero suficiente para participar en la primera carrera transcontinental de San Luis a San Francisco. Para ello organiza falsas rifas con su motocicleta como supuesto premio. Pero Charlie comete una equivocación cuando intenta engañar a Grace Wolf (BRENDA VACCARO) una camarera que se queda con la moto y obliga a Charlie a que la lleve con él. Charlie se muestra reacio, especialmente cuando Grace le presenta a su hijo ¡de seis años! Finalmente este extraño grupo se dirige a San Luis donde tendrán que competir por un premio de 5.000$ contra rudos hombres del motociclismo.
