This movie is a remake of Pengantin Remadja 1971 original version which is also one of indonesian legendary love story movie such as Badai Pasti Berlalu, Gita Cinta SMA, etc. This Movie tells the love story among two of teenage kids unfortunately restrained by difference in social status of both family which are diplomat and farmer family. Some Scenarios have changed compare to original one which ends tragically. In the original 1971 starring by Widyawati and Sophan Sophian while in this remake Pengantin Remaja 1991 replaced by Vivi Samodro and Bucek Depp. The Musical illustrations are also impressive. Both of original Pengantin Remadja 1971 and this remake 1991 are directed by the same person Wim Umboh and music arranger Idris Sardi.

Then Kadir acts as the husband while Dewo plays the housekeeper and Doyok the security guard. Their act is revealed when the new renter arrives but is barred from entering. Meanwhile, Dewi’s father finds the certificate of the house ownership.

The film’s title seems to have little connection to the story, a comedy revolving around Emon and the comedy group, Bagito. Emon, son of a rich family, returns from the Netherlands and falls in love with Vina. But Miing, Didin, and Unang are also in love with her. So the four men compete against each other, but Vina is already engaged to a man who has just returned from America.

In this sequel, the preceding romance between Rhoma and Kartika, is explored. Although Rhoma is imprisoned, Benny Compo is not satisfied with the situation, while the Rhoma’s band is in shambles. Benny’s group controls the stage with uproarious music. After his release, the conflict extends to a confrontation between two musical genres. Both bands decide to have a duel on one stage. Rhoma takes six songs, while Ikang Fawzi sings two songs.

For disturbing public order, a group of breakdancing teenagers are arrested by the police. Hence, Chicha’s father forbids her to breakdance and Chicha’s boyfriend, Rico, is asked to go his own way. Then parents and teenagers meet to discuss the issue. Chicha continues to breakdance and is even planning a show with her friends. Initially, her father opposes this but finally changes his mind after he sees the successful show. Almost half of the film consists of breakdancing scenes that were popular and polemical in the news at that time.

Iwan, a high school student, loses his bajaj-driver father because the jeep of Dance Lintang, a famous singer, runs him down. Iwan’s pregnant mother has to work hard. Iwan has been singing on the streets for money, and now he gets help from his younger siblings who sell newspapers. But his mother passes away when she gives birth to her last child so Iwan vows to raise his siblings. But when he cannot afford it, he puts his siblings in the orphanage. Then when his girlfriend Tia yells at him for doing that, he instinctively runs off with his siblings. He is imprisoned as a result but a journalist, Miftah, who knows his talent, bails him out. Iwan decides to quit school and Miftah manages to record him. Dance is furious when he hears that Iwan is making a record. He approaches the producer and destroys the recording tape. Then Dance gets arrested for narcotics while Iwan’s record is a major hit, so he brings his siblings home from the orphanage.

Del’s mother opposes her romance with Iyan, especially when she also gets pregnant.

Pras has almost finished college, has rich parents and a beautiful, faithful fiancee but is suddenly diagnosed with lung cancer. He only has six months left to live. There is more tension when Rachmat, who is matched to Yati’s daughter, Neneng, is more attracted to Mira. By chance, Mira repeatedly catches Yati having affairs. Her father is furious. Then Yati runs away with the fortune and the child of her affair. Neneng, who stays, commits suicide. Her father realises his mistake and reconciles with Sumiati. Rachmat has also come back for Mira.

However, there is still the cultural clash and his children have to adjust to school and their hometown. Then Eka, their second child, who is always the scapegoat of the family, runs away. Eka is attracted to an orphan ice seller who can support himself. He joins him selling the ice until he is stricken with typhus. His friend then breaks the news to Hendrik and Nona. Both parents rally with their three children, to complete the family again.

A young teacher, Wing Ganda, tries to understand her and shows her how to use her talent. His effort is fruitful but Agnes falls in love with him. Wing tries to avoid her. When another young man attempts to approach Agnes, she makes a fool out of him. Agnes has to deal with the fact that she cannot conquer everything. Wing is unconquerable and her stepmother secretly cares about her very much. This was one of the more insightful teenage films that understood teenage psychology and was also optmistic in a realistic way.

Then Rhoma starts a relationship with Rika, the daughter of Alwi, who is the best friend of Rhoma’s father, Hadi. One day, Hadi comes to ask Alwi for Rika’s hand in marriage. Rika mistakenly thinks that proposal comes from Rhoma, but it is Dendy who is proposing. Rhoma, who is currently having a show out of town, is very happy to hear about his brother’s engagement. He decides to rush home, even when his contract with the show has not yet completed. But Rhoma gets into an accident and loses his sight. So when he meets Rika, who has changed her name to Mira, he does not recognise her, not even from her voice. When Rhoma is recovering at the end of his treatment, Rika runs away. When she crosses the street, she is hit by a car and dies. Rhoma is there to witness it all.

Students who come to Yogyakarta to study, also have their first taste of love and sex. Three friends, Benny, Lesmono, and Larso find this out for themselves. Benny, a ladies’ man, introduces his friends to prostitution. Lesmono is secretly in love with Indri, but she falls into the hands of Benny. Benny, who takes life very lightly, manages to smuggle Indri into his room in the lodging house. When he goes home to Jakarta, Indri is anxious because she misses her period. Lesmono helps her to find a shaman who can perform an abortion. But when she goes to see a doctor, she finds out that she is not pregnant after all. Lesmono hopes to get Indri back but his hopes vanish when Benny returns and Indri goes back to him. Attempting to represent the teenagers’ psychological state in relation to love and sex; the film only manages to be jokey and shallow.

After the success of Tuyul, the same main cast returned for this first sequel. Sol Soleh wanders into a cave filled with small statues of tuyuls (childlike ghost similar to goblin or imp) and brings two home. One of them, the humble Darto, comes to life and makes Soleh rich overnight. Things get out of control soon after Darto requests a companion and then a female tuyul.

So he grabs the bag of Ani, who is looking after his father’s paperwork. Budi pays for his friend’s treatment and returns the important papers to Ani. Budi’s friend dies, but Ani and her parents sympathise with him. Budi is hired as a personal driver for Ani. Love grows between them. Meanwhile, Subrata follows his wife’s suggestion to match Ani to Rhoma, with the hope that Rhoma’s attitude will change after marriage.

Rhoma, aka Budi, a vagabond again, is hit by a motorcyclist on a rainy day. Budi is taken back by friends and treated. Meanwhile, Ani finally finds the sick Budi. They then meet often causing Surya to become suspicious and he finally catches them together at Budi’s place. Ani is forced home. Budi urges his friends to stop playing music on the street like beggars. He becomes a taxi driver while some of his friends sell newspapers or work as construction workers. Then Budi disguises himself with a thick moustache and sunglasses and goes to Ani’s house as a piano teacher. Now Ani and Budi can be together freely in her house. Meanwhile, a taxi passenger hears Budi singing to himself and offers musical instruments that he just bought. Budi forms a dangdut (traditional Indonesian music) group with his friends and calls it Soneta, which quickly gains success.

Ateng’s tomfoolery saves his employer from a robbery attempt by Bagio and his gang. He succeeds as he knows Bagio’s secret fear of cats. As a result, Bagio constantly targets him especially when he recovers a diamond that Bagio wants. Then Iskak gets a job and falls in love with another servant, Supini. To secure the relationship, Ateng sends a letter Supini’s name to Iskak, and vice versa, thus creating more comedic confusion.

The wedding plans of Oma and Ani are shattered due to the presence of Ir. Dana in the plantation where Ani’s father works. As her father is ambitious and wants a higher position, he wants Dana to become Ani’s husband. Ani works in the plantation as a secretary and Dana is interested in her but she does not reciprocate. Ami and Oma are having a long-distance relationship and things start to change when Oma does not come on her birthday. So she goes to Jakarta and finds Oma in the middle of persuading his singing partner, Shanty, who is sulking, to finish a recording. Suspicious and jealous, Ani goes straight home and decides to marry Dana. Oma is shocked to receive the invitation. He goes home and the root of the problem is uncovered.
