En 1519, antes de llegar a la capital azteca México-Tenochtitlán, tres conquistadores españoles marchan hacia la cima del volcán Popocatépetl, de más de 5400 metros de altura. El ascenso es complicado, deben enfrentar la fuerza de la naturaleza y el temor a lo desconocido, pero su misión es de gran importancia para los intereses del ejército de Hernán Cortés.

Ugo, magician and “grouchician” (as he defines himself), lives from drink to drink in a crowded, eclectic working-class neighborhood that seems like a setting from another era – a place where working is frowned upon and one can have anything except for obligations. There, he drags his feet on an existentialist nighttime walk, wandering through the labyrinthine refuge of the neighborhood streets in his own mind.

This documentary is the story of a tormented man, Don Rosendo, who has been haunted by his past and in the dawn of his life tries to find a sense for his existence. This story happens at the Mexico-USA border, in a transitory hostel.
