Dios quiere recuperar los Diez Mandamientos originales. Sin embargo, no se le permite a ningún ángel viajar a la Tierra para conseguirlos. Los ángeles tienen que “crear” a un ser humano que sea lo suficientemente inteligente como para encontrar las Tablas de la Ley; alguien que esté dispuesto a sacrificar su vida con el fin de restituir las Tablas al Cielo. Así que los ángeles idean un plan ingenioso, a la vez que despiadado, para lograr su objetivo. El plan toma forma cuando en la Tierra se encuentran dos hombres, aparentemente por casualidad. Uno de ellos es Onno Quist, un lingüista excéntrico, hijo de un antiguo Primer Ministro. El otro es Max Delius, hijo de un padre nazi y de una madre judía.
Art Direction
This TV-film is based on a single play written by Willem Wilmink. Life in the war years through the innocent eyes of a child. Kees is ten years old and the Second World War seems strange to him. He becomes sick with fear and is sent to the countryside where life is even stranger, but at least he gets to eat.

A peaceful family-life is suddenly disturbed when the children enter puberty. The children take over the house and disrupt the lives of their parents.

Joep is a piano tuner, and not the best in his profession. His fiancee ends their relationship and Joep wants to end his life. Then he meets Dorien. They fall in love, but they must deal with some issues from the past--like an ex-lover and a hitman.
