La familia de Shizu-hime (Hiroko Yakushimaru) es asesinada, pero ella escapa y es encontrada por el vagabundo Shinbei (Hiroyuki Sanada), antes de ser rescatada de sus perseguidores por Dosetsu (Sonny Chiba). Este le cuenta la historia sobre la maldición que acarrea su familia y la manera para vencerla: encontrar a los ocho guerreros-perro para poder destruir a la malvada reina Tamazusa (Mari Natsuki), responsable de la muerte de su familia. Divine Madness is a 1980 concert film directed by Michael Ritchie, and featuring Bette Midler during her 1979 concert at Pasadena's Civic Auditorium.
