Argentina, December 2001. Víctor Aranda is the accountant of a financier. His ex-wife is chasing him for an increase in his monthly support fee. His current partner doesn't see any future in their relationship and is willing to abandon him for a scholarship that was granted in Paris. He doesn't see any way to escape his fate, until the owner of the financier tells him that he will make a big scam and he will run away with all the money.
Gonzalo Romero, a young Argentine lawyer, struggles to find his place in a world ruled by pessimism. When his father and brother are assaulted by the nephew of a senator, he sets out on a long journey to bring the aggressor to trial.

En septiembre de 1976, durante los primeros meses del último gobierno militar en Argentina, siete adolescentes de la ciudad de La Plata sufren secuestros, torturas y asesinatos a raíz de sus protestas por el aumento del boleto estudiantil. Uno de ellos, sin embargo, consigue sobrevivir. Basado en un hecho real, este drama es, junto con "La historia oficial", de Luis Puenzo, uno de los filmes más emblemáticos del cine testimonial argentino sobre los crímenes de la sangrienta dictadura que gobernó el país hasta 1983.
