Muy deprimido por el abandono de su pareja, Lisa (Emanuelle Seigner), Jimi ha caído en la amargura y la apatía. Conforme ajusta el programa, el ordenador le avisa de que un virus ha entrado en el sistema y se ha incorporado a Nirvana; el efecto de la contaminación se traduce en un estado de autoconciencia de Solo (Diego Abatantuono), el personaje central que habita los distintos niveles de dificultad del juego.
