Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen, known in English as Baron von Richthofen was a fighter pilot with the German Air Force during World War I. He is considered the ace-of-aces of the war, being officially credited with 80 air combat victories.

A bordo de un caza triplano Fokker DR.I., que Richthofen pintó de rojo como señal distintiva, el piloto alemán abatió casi un centenar de aeroplanos enemigos antes de correr él la misma suerte. El 20 de abril de 1918 realizó su último vuelo. Descendientes directos del mítico aviador alemán y de sus victimas, ayudan a conocer un poco mejor la figura del Baron Rojo.
