Se entrega una carta anónima al Departamento de Policía Metropolitana de Tokio. La carta establece que un criminal de un caso de asesinato aparecerá en la fiesta de cuenta regresiva Masquerade Night que se llevará a cabo en el Hotel Cortesia Tokyo. El detective Kosuke Nitta (Takuya Kimura) debe ir de incógnito y volver a trabajar en el Hotel Cortesia Tokyo. Allí conoce a Naomi Yamagishi (Masami Nagasawa), que trabaja como conserje. Sin ninguna información sobre el criminal, excepto que la persona estará presente, el detective Kosuke Nitta trabaja febrilmente para encontrar al criminal entre los 500 asistentes.
