Production Manager
This drama attempts to be a film within a film. In the outer story, Andre Dussolier stars as a film director working with drama students at the Paris Conservatory, making a film (the inner story) about a woman's obsession with a foreign desert. Wallowing in maudlin sentimentality, this feature fails to live up to the promise of its probable inspiration, Fame (1980), and was not well-received at the 1988 Cannes Film Festival. However, as a medium for instructing director Francis Girod's actual students at the Paris Conservatory about the art and perils of filmmaking, it was undoubtedly a good deal more successful.
Production Manager
Two physicians, one old and one young, fall in love with the same woman, Juliette, a quixotic hairdresser. First, she is with Raoul, the older one; then passion for Clément, the younger doctor, takes over. Raoul fights back, playing on Clément's guilt and Juliette's lack of self-assurance; then, Clément makes his case to Juliette, abandons his fiancée, and takes her to the provinces where he sets up practice and asks her to have a baby. She panics and abruptly leaves Clément, taking up with Raoul again. When she contracts Hodgkin's disease and the treatment does no good, Raoul believes she has the malady of love. Is there a cure?
Unit Manager
A principios del siglo XX, Max, un joven de dieciocho años, se alista en la Marina. De esta forma se convierte en el Marino 512 y es enviado a Lorient, como ordenanza al servicio del Comandante Roger. Él debe casarse con Colette, una empleada doméstica, pero cae locamente enamorado de la esposa del comandante, convirtiéndose en su amante. A partir de aquí su vida irá atravesando por situaciones límite, entre el peligro y la aventura.
Assistant Director
Marie es una jovencita, hija de una familia de clase obrera, que se enamora de Gérard, del que luego descubrirá que es un tipo sádico y retorcido. No mucho después de iniciar su relación, Gérard comienza a maltratarla física y psicológicamente. Marie intentará huir de él y emprenderá una aventura personal para recobrar el control de su cuerpo y de su espíritu.
