Comedy based on short Sean O'Casey play. John Jo Mulligan finds himself in a situation with which his pious conscience cannot cope. He has spent a night with the cunning seductress Angela. Full of remorse and dreading the ruin of his reputation, he tries to get rid of her, fearing that his pal Halibut or his landlady Miss Mossie might get to know. Angela sees her chance, turns gold-digger and does not leave before relieving John of a considerable amount of money.

In the first, a corporal accompanies a new recruit with a sore Achilles tendon for his physical, and all the girls or young women they see are played by the same actress (Ruzickova). In the longer second segment, shot with the help of the Czechoslovakia army, the soldiers pass the time during basic training and maneuvers by talking about girls.

The fairy gives him a shirt to wear and asks him to swear he will never abandon it. At the war front, he falls in love with the the colonel's daughter and will have to perform various feats to get her attention.

After the battle of Sudoměř the Hussite teaching spreads through the whole country and people start leaving their homes to help build the fortification of Tábor. Prague citizens request help against the army of Zikmund. The Hussite army with Jan Žižka in the lead make their way towards Prague. They fortify themselves on the mountain Vítkov and engage in a bloody battle with Zikmund’s huge army.

Basada en la novela de Karel Capek, el destacado escritor checo de principios del siglo XX que acuñó la palabra robot para su obra R.U.R., la historia gira en torno al descubrimiento de Krakatit -un poderoso explosivo- por parte de Prokop, un científico experimental que, tras un explosión accidental en su laboratorio, entra y sale del delirio. Cuando se da cuenta de que, en un período delirante, le ha dado la fórmula para hacer Krakatit a uno de sus colegas, intenta encontrar al hombre, quien no se da cuenta de lo peligroso que es Krakatit. En el proceso, casi vuelve a revelar su descubrimiento a intereses extranjeros, a un grupo de anarquistas y a fuerzas de la oscuridad aún mayores...
