Una extraña masa que emana de la tierra es descubierta por un par de mineros. Lo prueban y deciden comercializarlo al comprobar su buen sabor. Su fama se va extendiendo, y numerosa gente lo consume, pero esta masa controla los cerebros de los que la comen... volviéndoles zombis.
Los tambores puntuan la noche de Naraka Pintu, la minúscula isla del Pacífico,y unos salvajes grotescamente pintados aullan frenéticamente. El chamán se contorsiona y grita mientras reta a N´Gana Simbu, el Guardián de las puertas del infierno a que haga su aparición. Un cazador extranjero, Tasaki, se mofa del espectáculo, pero aguarda tenso en las sombras, entre las brillantes hogueras de la tribu. Un agudísimo sonido taladra la noche y la Serpiente Demonio surge de las llamas de la hoguera entre el fogonazo de una explosión. Con una furia letal e incontrolable, la extraordinaria serpiente arremete contra los nativos provocando la destrucción y la muerte.
Ningiuksiak, an Inuk who lives in the settlement of Cape Dorset, is on a hunt with his family. On his way back to Cape Dorset, Ningiuksiak's snowmobile breaks down. Since he does not have the money to fix it he decides to leave his family and fly to the town of Frobisher Bay to make some money. Ningiuksiak's cousin in Frobisher Bay, Ashoona, a somewhat urbanized Inuk who makes his living as a construction worker or as a cab driver, has drifted away from hunting and the traditional way of life of the remote settlements. Ashoona takes Ningiuksiak in hand and helps him to get a job driving for the Nanook Taxi Company. Increasingly unhappy and bewildered, Ningiuksiak takes to spending his money on liquor and his time in seedy nightclubs. One night, half-heartedly trying to show that he is having a good time, he looks up and sees his wife. She has come to take him home to Cape Dorset.

Together, they battle pirates and an evil magician before discovering that the Ultimate Secret is nothing but LOVE! Using songs based on the original works of Gilbert and Sullivan (but updated with modern lyrics), this film was created to commemorate the centenary anniversary of the first collaboration of the composers of the Savoy Operas.
