Dos mujeres que han pasado toda su vida juntas deben lidiar con la enfermedad que afecta a una de ellas. La mujer enferma decide no recibir tratamiento y se mudan a una cabaña en el bosque para esperar el día en que la muerte llegue a sus vidas. La situación ve resurgir el amor que el tiempo había enterrado bajo la rutina. Poco a poco, su relación se fortalecerá a medida que la muerte pase su tiempo fuera de la cabaña.

Durante un caluroso día de verano, cosas pequeñas ocurren a los visitantes y trabajadores de un antiguo balneario en el sur de Chile. Julieta, Francisco, Isa, Rodrigo, Ignacio, Mariana, Muriel, Gabriela, Eliseo, Norma, Alejandra y Claudio experimentarán las largas horas de vacaciones en la naturaleza, durmiendo al sol, aprendiendo a conducir, limpiando la casa, besándose por primera vez, nadando en la noche o simplemente caminando y hablando, mientras que el día irá desvelando pequeños fragmentos de felicidad y descubrimiento.
Ana, Verónica, Marta, and Toro are four lonely people who live an unadventurous and quiet existence in southern Chile. They are with each other without the need of using words, trying to save themselves in a stealthy and extreme way. In order not only of getting away of the loneliness that constitutes their innermost core, but also of finding themselves, they reach for each other to get brotherly and sexual love, affection, and a space and time of their own.
