Han Dong adapts his own 1998 novel, about a group of young poets accidentally caught up in an inexplicable dispute with local hoodlums and security guards.
The film tells about Liu Qiang, a farmer from the south of Zhangpo Village. In order to help the village sell cherries, he participated in the TV blind date program and met the only female guest graduate Zhang Linjie who left the lamp to him.
