William Vann Rogers, generalmente conocido como Will Rogers, Jr. (20 de octubre de 1911–9 de julio de 1993), fue hijo del legendario humorista Will Rogers (1879–1935) y su esposa, Betty Blake (1879–1944). Fue miembro del Congreso por parte del Partido Demócrata de los Estados Unidos en representación de California entre el 3 de enero de 1943 y el 23 de mayo de 1944, momento en que dejó el cargo para volver al Ejército de los Estados Unidos. Rogers tuvo otras actividades, destacando la de propietario y editor de prensa, actor, escritor y comentarista político.

Adapted from the novel by Johann Wyss, this was the pilot episode for a proposed television series co-produced by Edgar G. Ulmer and Louis Hayward. Filmed in Mexico in 1957 and bearing a 1958 copyright, Swiss Family Robinson: Lost in the Jungle was not "released" until 2000, when it was included as an extra feature on the DVD version of Ulmer's The Pirates of Capri.
