Esta película nos narra la historia de como surgió Santa Claus, desde su nacimiento, como fue entregado a las Hadas, su niñez, como comenzó a regalar juguetes a los niños, su vida como adulto, como se inicio la leyenda de Santa Claus, como llego a su vejez y fue obsequiado con el manto de la vida eterna, para así convertirse en Santa Claus, una historia bellamente presentada, llena de magia, seres maravillosos como Hadas, Duendes, etc. Una de las mejores obras de todos los tiempo. Se realizo previamente una versión de esta misma obra pero con marionetas, también muy bella llamada The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus en 1985 pero solo para televisión.
