Amirtham

An evil landlord holds hostage his sister and her husband, Muthappa, as he is unhappy with their union. Years later, he goes berserk when he sees a young man who resembles Muthappa.

Manickam, who was raised by a farmer, finds out that Thangappapuram, a rich businessman, is his biological father. When Manickam reveals his identity, Thangappapuram does not believe him.

Elango, a professor, and Sharada, a college student, fall in love and get married. However, trouble ensues when he is not able to consummate his marriage.

Sankar is an ambitious man who wants to make it big through fair means. However, the friend he works under, Sampath, begins to use corrupt measures to make them rich.

Thangam dearly loves his blind sister, Sumathi, and wants to restore her eyesight. When Sumathi gets raped by his friend Moorthy, Thangam decides to seek revenge.

Chinna Durai(V. K. Ramaswamy) dislikes his brother-in-law, Kanagasabi(V. S. Raghavan) stands in the way of a marriage arrangement for his daughter Malathy(Vanisri) and Kanagasabi's son Ravi(Jaishankar). The film deals with how Ravi's resourcefulness helps him in getting Malathi's hand in marriage.
