Saur Sepuh III: The Flower of Mount Lawu
Set during the kingdom of Majapahit after the reign of King Hayam Wuruk, the Saur Sepuh films were based on the popular radio plays in the 80s. Lasmini is raped and thrown into a ravine, but is saved by Granny Lawu. She is then taught martial arts until the granny dies. Then Lasmini leaves the mountain to find her rapists and kills them one by one. One day, she has a fight with Mantili because she is close to Bentar. Then Lasmini returns to Mount Lawu to improve her martial arts. After learning new skills, she returns to challenge all the martial arts experts and is victorious. Mantili then goes to improve his skills from Brama and challenges Lasmini. Now Lasmini is defeated.

After burying his brother, Jampang renews his fight against oppression. He starts to defend people who are forced to sell their land, by tackling Kisima, the extortionist. Kisima, who wants money to open a gambling house is furious at Jaka’s intervention. So Kisima brings in another champion, Kosim and his teacher, Komeng. Jampang defeats all of them including Kisima, who is thrown into a river full of crocodiles.

Samboja, a thug who controls an area, catches Ceking and his friends who are trying to rape two girls, Dyah Setiowati and Marlina. Samboja tries to help and is stabbed. Samboja is thought to be the rapist and is arrested. One of the victims, Dyah Setiowati, defends him to the police and he is released. But this incident makes him an enemy of the drug syndicate, who the rapist Ceking works for. Although his friend, Leo, who also works for the syndicate, defends him, the drug boss orders his men to kill Samboja. Dyah, the daughter of a cultural attaché, sympathises with him, especially when she finds out that he visits the daughter of Astri, the prostitute, in the orphanage.

But he forgets this restraint when he robs the house of a gold trader. The daughter of the trader who is hiding in the room suddenly runs out when she hears a siren. Wawan panics and kills her. This incident begins to haunt him. With the help of his girlfriend, Suci, whom he meets in the brothel, Wawan intends to give up crime. He works as a labourer in a construction project. His friends worry that he would betray them so they want to kill him. When they attack him, his fellow worker, Daniel, helps him. Daniel, who is a Surabayan thug, invites him to join the gang.

Rhoma’s father, Subrata, a businessman living in Bandung, expects his son to be an Economics graduate. Rhoma instead pursues his love of music, which is considered lowly by his father. This often causes conflict between them and Rhoma is finally thrown out of the house. So Rhoma travels to Jakarta and calls himself Budi. He lives with a group of street musicians and when one of his friends is seriously ill and needs money for medical treatment, his father rejects his call for help. So he grabs the bag of Ani, who is looking after his father’s paperwork. Budi pays for his friend’s treatment and returns the important papers to Ani. Budi’s friend dies, but Ani and her parents sympathise with him. Budi is hired as a personal driver for Ani. Love grows between them. Meanwhile, Subrata follows his wife’s suggestion to match Ani to Rhoma, with the hope that Rhoma’s attitude will change after marriage.
