"El Crimson Tide", el submarino nuclear más poderoso de los Estados Unidos, recibe entonces la orden de acercarse a las costas de Rusia. El Estado Mayor del submarino recibe la orden de bombardear a Rusia, justo cuando llega un segundo mensaje indescifrable...
