La historia , bastante conocida mundialmente, esta ambientada en Corea, donde un rey está confuso y para poder tratar los asuntos de la corte con tranquilidad, decide hacer caso al consejo de su concejal, y pone en su lugar a un doble (el mendigo) que ocupe su lugar en el trono. Aquí empieza una historia donde el rey de la dinastía se debate en como ser un mejor rey, ya que el toque humanitario de su doble hace cambiar poco a poco la moral de palacio.

Kyung-soo es un actor en horas bajas. Su última película ha sido todo un fracaso, y su director le echa toda la culpa. En ese momento, Kyung-soo recibe una llamada de un antiguo compañero de clase. Soo-chul's Wife
Waikiki Brothers is a band going nowhere. After another depressing gig, the saxophonist quits, leaving the three remaining members to continue on the road. The band ends up at the lead singer's hometown, which was a popular hot spring resort in the '80s, but the return home is filled with reservations of previous and past disappointments, a lost love, unemployment and tragedy.
