Devil's Playground
Director
In 1976, Fred Schepisi's first feature film, The Devil's Playground, daringly dealt with the conflict between desire and spirituality in a Catholic seminary. It's now considered a classic of Australian cinema. At the film's centre was a 13-year-old boy, Tom Allen, torn between his calling and his sexuality. This series picks up the story 35 years later. It is 1988 and Tom is now in his forties. A practising Catholic and respected Sydney psychiatrist, Tom accepts an offer from the Bishop of Sydney to become a secular confessor to the Catholic clergy, and is soon embroiled in political and theological intrigue.

The Tall Man
Writer
This is the story of Palm Island, the tropical paradise where one morning Cameron Doomadgee swore at a policeman and forty-five minutes later lay dead in a watch-house cell. This is also the story of that policeman, the tall enigmatic Christopher Hurley who chose to work in some of the toughest and wildest places in Australia, and of the struggle to bring him to trial. The Tall Man is a story in luminous detail of two worlds clashing - and a haunting moral puzzle that no viewer will forget.

Strap on Olympia
Producer
Olympia's journey continues. Men expect youth, beautiful bodies and sex partners from women. Thinking this, Olympia takes advantage of her young and beautiful body to sign a mistress contract with a rich but vulgar old man. However, something arises inside her that she cannot resist, so she breaks the contract and sets off on a journey. On her journey, she also encounters men who look at her as if they value her. She sets up her own extreme show to strike back at these men. But how much of it was reality and how much of it was her fantasy... From the fantastic intro, a world of beauty supported by a strong sense of style unfolds. The strength of the visuals gives the simple story a fullness.
