Ruiz dice: "Los chilenos a veces se pueden hablar sin verbos ni los sujetos, de modo que no podemos saber lo que uno está hablando. "Mi actitud es la de un 'extranjero'. Intenté mostrar cómo Chile se ha convertido en extraño para mí".
