The truck driver (Molovski) is negligent in his attitude towards work. Despite the warnings that his vehicle is defective, he leaves on the road, and in addition he returns to the local tavern to meet the new waitress and drink "one round". He causes an accident with a bus. Five people are killed and several are seriously injured. Among the dead is his little neighbor.
