Like ghosts, the temporarily shut down cruise ships lie in the port of Hamburg. A young man comes into town and is stranded on the riverbank, waiting for a message. He watches couples strolling along in the sunset and gets himself some sweets. In a moment of collective pause, ISLANDS IN THE CITY captures a fragile romance. There is a departure in the air, the destination of which no one seems to know.

It's witching hour and Mother Spirit wakes her children, who are sleeping in the tubular bells.
This short film is part of a cooperation project between HAW Hamburg and the Education Department of the Elbphilharmonie. The aim is to introduce children to different musical instruments in a playful way.

"Basically being a paparazzi is just a kind of press work. But an incorruptible one. Because we photograph what is really happening," says paparazzo Andreas Meyer. Shooting Stars accompanies him while carrying out his rather controversial job.
