The young filmmaker Francisco "Xico" Ariztía shoots up close to his father, Francisco Ariztía, an exceptional Chilean artist who has lived in Portugal since the 1970s. In his house-workshop in the city of Lisbon, Xico's camera reveals the painter's intimacy and his creation, interweaving his work with a biography full of collaborations with avant-garde artists, such as painter Roberto Matta, filmmaker Raúl Ruiz and many others. Caminero is a visual exploration and intimate portrait of an exceptional painter, in an exhibition of the relationship between son and father, filmed and shot.

Cuenta la historia de Ignacio, quien tiene una obsesión con la figura de su tío, Jaime Guzmán Errázuriz, colaborador en asuntos jurídicos y políticos del Régimen Militar del general Augusto Pinochet y principal creador de la Constitución de 1980 y a quien decide interpretar en una obra de teatro. Después de algunos intentos logra persuadir a Mateo Iribarren para que sea el director de la obra. Durante el proceso de convocatoria de los actores Ignacio se ve enfrentado a negativas que genera la imagen de Guzmán dentro del mismo gremio donde hay tendencias políticas opuestas, que no permiten la participación de algunos actores más radicales en el montaje. A pesar de estos rechazos, forman un elenco. Comienzan los ensayos y un proceso creativo intenso. (FILMAFFINITY)

1972. During the government of Salvador Allende 34 artists made works that were included in the construction of the UNCTAD III building, today GAM. After the 1973 coup, few works survived looting and destruction. 40 years later, Joaquín Maruenda, son of the late sculptor Félix Maruenda, finds a record that leads him to investigate the events of the sculpture "Chimeneas" and its possible restoration. Joaquín, artists and workers involved with the construction of the building, will try to answer the question Why did they destroy the art?
