A polarising figure, Swatantra Veer Savarkar is revered by many as a freedom fighter but criticised by others for his communal ideology and the fact that he wrote mercy petitions to the British authorities from prison. Savarkar was also arrested in connection with Mahatma Gandhi's assassination but later acquitted after no evidence was found against him.

Veer Singh, dueño de un restaurante en Londres, conoce a Jai y trata de convencerlo de ir tras ella del mismo modo en que él siguió a Harleen Kaur cuando la conoció en la India en 1965. Pero Jai se enamora de una europea, Jo, mientras que Meera se prepara para casarse con su jefe, Vikram Joshi.
