Cuatro amigos viajan a Altai para hacer rafting en un río de montaña. Aislados de la civilización y cara a cara con la naturaleza en su estado más salvaje, los héroes no pueden relajarse, sino que se ven obligados a luchar por la supervivencia. Piden ayuda a un grupo de aparentemente "deportistas-navegantes" que encuentran en el río. Pero luego los héroes se dan cuenta de que los criminales los han tomado como rehenes. Todas sus debilidades y faltas quedan al descubierto y se revela su verdadero yo.
