Katalina (32), Daniela (34) y Máximo (26), son personas trans que viven como familia. Sus vidas se transforman a partir del nacimiento de Luciana, la hija de Daniela y Máximo. Por un lado, Katalina decide buscar un nuevo espacio para vivir sola enfrentándose a la dificultad de encontrar casa por ser transgénero; al mismo tiempo, Daniela y Máximo reflexionan sobre los temores y los desafíos que implican constituirse como familia transgénero en una sociedad que constantemente les excluye.

El fracaso de una película sobre una antigua relación amorosa, conduce a la realización de una nueva película que se propone volver sobre los pasos de ese proyecto fallido. En esta reconstrucción que inicia en una antigua anécdota familiar y termina con los primeros registros fílmicos de población indígena en Colombia, empieza la lucha entre lo que es mejor para la misma película y la imposibilidad de revivir esa primera historia de amor.
