Colorist
Jane, recién graduada universitaria y aspirante a productora de cine, consigue un trabajo aparentemente ideal como ayudante de un poderoso ejecutivo de la industria del entretenimiento. Su jornada laboral de secretariado no es muy distinta de la de sus colegas: preparar café, cambiar el papel en la fotocopiadora, pedir el almuerzo, organizar viajes, tomar recados o atender llamadas. Pero con el paso del tiempo, va dándose cuenta del abuso que colorea insidiosamente cada aspecto de su jornada laboral, una acumulación de degradaciones contra las cuales Jane decide plantarse, quizás solo para descubrir la verdadera magnitud del problema en el que se ha involucrado.
Colorist
“Farah,” a bread seller, walks the streets of a Middle Eastern town, while an American military vehicle, surrounded by soldiers, slowly passes by. A moment’s silence. Then, a devastating explosion. Civilians are bloodied, wounded. The horrors of war. “Farah” looks around aghast and wailing. But nothing here is quite what it seems. In fact, “Farah” is a character played by an aspiring actress called Laila. And this isn’t Iraq, but a replica village erected on the Fort Irwin army base in California, used to train American troops before being sent abroad. Laila believes her acting talents are being wasted away in this arid simulation, where female role-players are limited to mute, background roles. She takes things much more seriously. Laila plots her way out.

Alicia is holed up in the Ritz Carlton high above Manhattan’s Central Park, hiding from her admiring public, and fretting that her supernatural gizmo may have, at long last, run out of answers. Which is when a surprise visitor knocks at her door…
