An upcoming film directed by Enrico Iannaccone. Valerio (Antonio Folletto) is a thirty year old man who leads a self-destructive life. The still beautiful Carla (Catherine Spaak) is an ex-magistrate, who begins to show the first signs and symptoms of Alzheimer's. Contrary to Valerio she has an overwhelming desire to live. These two tormented souls become friends and together they find the strength to confront the pains and secrets of their past. They are both related to a mysterious woman, Anneke (Veruschka von Lehndorff ). This is a journey of two people who are so different and yet so similar, sharing their most painful emotions. It will lead them to the discovery of a new way of loving.

The Pearl Fishers from 1863 concerns an opera in three acts. It's a work about friendship, love, faithfulness and betrayal. The story takes place in Sri Lanka. The pearl fishers Nadir and Zurga are both in love with the girl Leïla. In order to maintain their friendship, the swear not to court the girl. They promise never let go of their friendship end over the love for th a girl. Then they lose sight of the girl. Years later, Leïla returns as a priestess back to the fishermen's village. Nadir recognizes her and courts her. The two are caught and the sentence is the pillar. Zurga, now the fisherman's captain, avoids this and lets them escape. The angry villagers grabbed him and threw him on the pile of fire that was intended for the two lovers.

La historia comienza cuando la duquesa ya sin habla tiene 12 años. Con la esperanza de sorprenderla para que vuelva a hablar, su abuelo la lleva a un ahorcamiento. Las causas de la aflicción de Marianna se revelan lentamente a medida que avanza la historia, pero toda la verdad no se revela hasta el final. Aunque es muy querida por su familia, todavía la obligan a casarse con su antiguo tío cuando solo tiene 13 años. A pesar de su vida opresiva, Marianna es capaz de encontrar la libertad de maneras sutiles.
