The Pope is disturbed by the fact that today's youth are not as spiritually inclined as they should be, and so he decides to set up a Vatican television station and entice them back into the religion of their ancestors. In order to particularly grab the wandering flock, a priest invites the comedians from "The Other Sunday," an actual comedy program on Italian television, to perform on this new channel.

Mauro, a judge, is worried about his older sister Marta, who took care of him since he was a boy, and now suffers from mental illness and suicidal thoughts. She seems to recover from her depression when Mauro acquaints her with Giovanni, a brilliant actor at the edge of legality. However, Mauro becomes unconsciously jealous of their relationship and tries to get Giovanni arrested.

Daniela (Gloria Guida) tiene diecisiete años y por las noches recorre las calles con el apodo de "Blue Jeans". Es arrestada y declara ser la hija del doctor Carlo Anselmi (Paolo Carlini), un hombre rico que alguna vez se acostó con su madre que ya no está. La policía le confia la tenencia de la chica y esto trae el caos a su casa, debido a su conducta provocativa y desinhibida. Pero Daniela tiene otros planes: quedarse con las riquezas del hombre, con la ayuda de un cómplice.
