Cuando la última plaza de toros de Cataluña se ha convertido en un centro comercial, un viejo torero tiene que ganarse la vida en los bares de Barcelona. Una noche, aparece un presidente ruso aburrido, tratando de refrescar sus vacaciones demasiado largas. En poco tiempo siente un deseo urgente de probar suerte como héroe antes de que sea demasiado tarde.
