Cry Baby, una niña fuerte y sensible, es enviada a un inquietante internado que esta oculto bajo una fantastica fachada. Por suerte, tiene una amiga dulce y que le ayuda cuando sufre bullying por sus compañeros que están bajo el control mental del Director y su personal. Con la ayuda de sus mágicos amigos que conoce a lo largo del camino, y su Espírtu Guía Angelical, son capaces de obtener la fuerza necesaria para luchar contra el condicionamiento patrialcal de la escuela.

This album tells the story of Cry Baby, a fictionalised version of Melanie and a representation of her vulnerable and messed-up side. Melanie claims that many of the things that have happened to Cry Baby are similar to the things that have happened in her own life, mixed in with fantasy elements. Each song on the tracklist is titled something childhood related, while the actual message being crossed to the listener carries more adult-like themes and problems.
