Nieto de un pionero de la industria, educado en los supuestos beneficios de la era del plástico, Boote dedicó diez años a investigar cómo este derivado del petróleo está destruyendo nuestro mundo, exponiendo rigurosos argumentos, entrevistando a toda clase de científicos y enfrentándose a uno de los capos del mercado.
