El anciano cuidador de una morgue lejana posee un impecable recuerdo de todo menos de los nombres. Evocando recuerdos de la pérdida personal, se embarca en una odisea mágica para darle un entierro adecuado con la ayuda de un mísero sepulturero que recoge historias de los muertos, una anciana en busca de su hija perdida hace mucho tiempo, y un conductor fúnebre atormentado por su pasado.
