Shakib is a homeless day laborer who never got over the loss of his wife and son in an earthquake years ago. Over the last couple of years, he has developed a relationship with a deaf and mute woman, Ladan. The construction site on which he works today turns out to be the set of a film about the atrocities committed by Hitler during WWII. Against all odds, he is given a movie role, a house and a chance at being somebody. When Ladan learns about this, she comes to his workplace begging for help. Shakib’s scheme to hide her goes tragically wrong and threatens to ruin his newfound status and what seemed to be the opportunity of a lifetime.

En Irán, la pena por posesión de drogas es la misma tanto si llevas 30g como 50kg: la pena de muerte. En estas condiciones, los narcotraficantes no tienen reparos en jugar a lo grande y la venta de crack se ha disparado. Como resultado, 6,5 millones de personas son toxicómanos. Después de varios años de seguir la pista al narcotraficante Nasser K. Samad, un policía persistente y expeditivo consigue por fin echarle el guante. Aunque creía que el caso estaba cerrado, el enfrentamiento con el cerebro de la red toma un giro completamente inesperado.

Arjang, who was born before the revolution in Iran, has been in love with his childhood sweetheart, Roya, for the past 40 years. Roya, however, has brought him nothing but trouble. Now 50, and having experienced a revolution, a war, a divorce and both poverty and wealth, Arjang finds himself still in love with Roya.
