Tras producirse un hundimiento de la tierra en un área suburbana, un equipo de ingenieros con Hao al frente tiene que hallar la causa. Tras días deambulando en busca de respuestas, Hao entra en una escuela donde encuentra un diario que cuenta la historia de un niño y la separación de su grupo cercano de amigos. Según avanza la investigación, Hao descubre que el diario contiene profecías de su propia vida.
