La película empieza con el estreno de la misma película, una noticia contada por Tom Tucker y Diane Siemmons (periodistas de los noticieros habituales de Quahog), y con la visita de todos los "actores" de la película, la familia Griffin. La historia se centra en Stewie, que al ver en la televisión un hombre parecido a él, a quien apoda "mi otro yo", quien en principio supone que es su padre real, rechazando a Peter. Stewie decide ir a buscar a este señor, y emprende la búsqueda junto a Brian.
