Ex-cop Les Kearney is hired to find the kidnapped daughter of a wealthy businessman.
Art Direction
Building is Howard's passion, and he is so absorbed in his plans to build an elaborate resort in the Blue Mountains of Australia that he ignores certain obvious signals that his business partner is not entirely on the up-and-up. After a brush fire destroys the resort, an insurance investigator comes nosing around, whom Howard's partner deals with in a drastic manner. By the time Lloyds of London's senior investigator George Engels (James Mason in one of his last roles) arrives on the scene, Howard (Tom Skerritt) is anxious to set things to rights.

When a 747 crashes shortly after take-off, the sole survivor is the pilot. Virtually unhurt, he and the investigators look for the answers to the disaster. Meanwhile mysterious deaths occur in the community and only a psychic, in touch with the supernatural, can help the pilot unravel the mystery surrounding the doomed plane.
Art Direction
En el año de su debut ante las pantallas -meses antes había estrenado “Mad Max”-, el actor Mel Gibson interpreta a Tim, un atractivo joven con problemas de ligero retraso mental. Trabaja en la construcción y su condición a menudo le favorece con respecto a sus compañeros. Tiene una estrecha relación amistosa con Mary, a la que únicamente ve los fines de semana. La familia de Mary sospecha de la inocencia de esas relaciones, y es que en el fondo es una mujer mayor que se da cuenta de que se está enamorando de él. Drama sentimental que obtuvo muy buenas críticas.
