Un día llega al pueblo un ex compañero de colegio del padre, con su hija Gracia. Los jóvenes se conocen y se enamoran. Los caracteres de los padres chocan, ya que viven de acuerdo a valores diferentes. Sin embargo, por las presiones del medio ambiente donde ha vivido y por los requerimientos de un novio que ha venido a verla desde la ciudad, Gracia rompe los moldes tradicionales y asume su responsabilidad de amar.
