Executive Producer
A strange character has been seen passing through the streets of Quito with a medical bag in hand; inside of him there is a medicine, but it is not what you imagine. It's Baltasar, a marijuana dealer who, after running out of harvest, turns to two eccentric old men. They offer you a new variety: the Ecuatorian Shetta. Baltasar begins to distribute it; but the day is complicated by the arrival of his little daughter, Catalina. Together they will go through chifas, doubts about UFOs and encounters with the police.

Sara, una adolescente quiteña de diecisiete años, está a punto de terminar el colegio. Le gusta el rock y los libros, es crítica, alborotada, poco sociable, y disfruta de fumar cigarrillos a escondidas. El primer día de clases llega Andrea, una alumna nueva. Día a día su amistad se fortalece y se despierta una atracción confusa que termina en un beso. Esto genera dudas en Sara pero la fuerza de lo que sienten hace que encuentren una manera particular de vivir su romance; siendo mejores amigas para el mundo y una pareja de adolescentes enamoradas cuando nadie las ve. Las sospechas de su relación se hacen evidentes y al ser revelada Sara y Andrea optan por una estrategia pacífica: van a una playa lejana y dejan su respuesta mediante una sencilla carta.

Miguel is a 17 year-old boy that sees the future as a distant horizon, immersed in his bubble of friends and a sketchbook full of sentimental poems. 'Saudade' is the portrait of a threshold: the end of high school, which we experience through Miguel. Set amidst the backdrop of the Ecuadorian economic crisis of 1999, 'Saudade' tackles notions of economic dislocation, friendship, family and young love while juxtaposing the crumbling of Miguel's life, against the crumbling of his country.

José Manuel Ortiz, 32, has had a great interest and sensitivity towards music since he was very young. He grows up listening to the anecdotes of his great-grandfather Carlos Amable Ortiz who was the first academic musician in Ecuador. After the death of Carlos Amable Ortiz, his fame begins to fade, but his 237 scores have managed to survive time. Upon recovering the works, José Manuel's interest in studying and deepening the music found is awakened.
Production Manager
Raul Lara, an Ecuadorian luthier, works around seven months in the construction of each instrument. Sometimes staying for four consecutive months inside his workshop, place in which time and space are surreal. The guitar becomes alive and receives its soul in here.
Post Production Supervisor
Jessica is a rebellious 17-year-old living with her aunt and grandmother in Quito. Her absent mother has stopped sending money, causing rifts within the family. When she decides to search for the father she's never met, she ends up in the country home of her father's brother and his wife, where the mirrors are always covered and the air is thick with fog and mystery.
Cinta
Mientras construye una presa en Tecala, en el corazón de los Andes, el ingeniero norteamericano Peter Bowman es capturado por fuerzas antigubernamentales durante una incursión en la capital.
