Hasumi Seiji , un profesor muy querido por sus alumnos y de plena confianza para sus compañeros, es en realidad un psicópata. Nació sin la capacidad de empatizar con los demás. Aun así todo va bien, en su vida personal y profesional, intenta pasar desapercibido y vivir una vida mas o menos normal, hasta que empieza a ser intimidado, a tener diversos problemas en el trabajo, en el instituto.
After a convenience store robbery, three unidentified men hold a group of people hostage in a hospital. Inspector Ishida and Captain Tohno handle the negotiations while one of their colleagues, Lt. Ando, tries to find out why the men decided to take the hospital hostage. Through flashbacks, relevant information is revealed to the audience. When the negotiations are finished, most things seem to be fine until they lose track of the criminals. Then, the story unveils from a different perspective, its roots in feelings of love and vengeance.

After his daughter Mai is killed in an auto accident, a genius programmer recreates her in the form of a computer program called AI. His jealous brother-in-law, wanting to get his hands on the technology for profit, sends his client to steal it and Mai’s father is killed in the process. Learning of her capture, Mai’s old friends race to free AI from her captors so that she won’t fall into the corporate clutches that threaten to erase her soul.
