Años 80. Reyhan, Nurhan y Havva son tres hermanas que viven con su padre en una remota aldea de la Anatolia central. Una tras otra son enviadas a la ciudad a trabajar como criadas en familias adoptivas acomodadas con la esperanza de conseguirles una vida mejor, pero un tiempo después las tres se ven obligadas a regresar por circunstancias imprevistas.
